Mindie Burgoyne has spent years researching haunted sites in Maryland,
garnering information from public libraries, old newspapers, folklore
collections, and residents. Her research has been used by many other
authors and media professionals including the National Geographic Television
Network. Her approach with each site follows a three-step process.
1. the history of the site
2. the haunted tale or legend associated with the site
3. what people say about the site today ... is it haunted?
